What is the number on the metal tag....it should start out with 1352-xxx ...... if the tranny is a W.C. I am interested ....... if it is indeed from an 86 it is a non W.C.

I'll get back to you on the transmision tag.

I'm not sure on the exact year, but I'll look it up so you can check.

I will not be parting anything out until 1 month from now. If everythig hasnt sold as a package, I will start parting out the peices. I would much rather see this drivetrain live on in someone else's car, because even though my LS1 is going to be better, this drivetrain is still in great shape.

Ovrclck, am I breaking rules? If so I am very sorry, I just wanted to get the word out to as many people I know as possible. Alot of people from this section of the forum have seen my car on the track, and when I told them I was doing a LS1 swap, people asked me what I was doing with my drivetrain, thats why I posted here.

As far as his comment goes, its not very good english, so I think he was saying he sold his car for really cheap and because he did that I should turn around and sell my stuff for cheap too.

Unforunatly, I beleive this stuff is worth what I am asking. The motor pulls hard, the transmission shifts fine, and together they do pretty damn good on the track and the street.

So if anyone is interested in this package let me know.

84Mike, you are second in line for the transmission, might want to PM me an offer, if it is higher than my first offer, you become first in line.

woot free prescription medication, just like all those e-mails said!

Sorry if I was sounding mean, but the way I read the sentence was that I was asking too much. Which is the exact reason I lowered the price.

No bites yet.....is 2k too much for this, I really thought this was a killer price.

Yes, it is, hence all my comments.

Look at it this way, for under 2500, hell, even 2K, you can find:

An LT1 with wiring...and even sometimes with the trans.

-OR-

A complete running 350TPI

You're trying to sell a stock engine with over 100K on the clock along with trans and wiring for 2000. Yes, you do have a 58MM TB, but for a stock L98 it was overkill anyways. If you were to actually look into the airflow patterns of the L98, the TB is not the restriction, it's the intake.

L98's with less miles and wiring go all day long for anywhere from $500-800, and the trans is pretty cheap too. Granted yours is a WC, but still let's say the engine is worth 1000, that'd make you think the trans was worth 1000. For 1200 you can get a T56.

For 3K, you can find an LS1 complete with trans.

I'm really not trying to be a dick, I'm just trying to help you see WHY you're not getting any offers.

I'd say that since everything's together, you may get 1500 MAX for what you have.....and that's MAX.

This is not the only board where this is posted.

I see your point ovrclck, these deals your talking about, do they include unmolested harness with the motor?

I will now drop the price to $1,500

The motor is definitly worth $1k, and the transmission, clutch, bolts, harness makes up the other $500.

I will leave the $1,500 price for one more week, then this stuff is going to ebay.

PRICE DROP $1,500

Usually, sometimes they have small splices that are easy enough to repair, but it's not uncommon for completely unmolested harnesses. Like I said, I'm REALLY not trying to be a dick, so I do apologize if I came off that way, especially over at the other board.

Replied to your PM JRoy

PMs requesting parts are welcome, still waiting a little bit longer to let the word pass this is for sale. I will part it out if it does not sell as one peice.

So far I've had enquires on the throttle body, transmission, TPI intake and wire harness.
