Grinding noise please help
I have to type quick and cut straight to the chase since I am on work and I am not suppose to use the computer. I lifted the car up and hit the gas while the car was in the air, when I get up to 50mph the car starts to make a strange grinding noise. We had just finished changing the brakes. Can someone please help me figure this out. I will be able to use this thing again before I leave tonight.
Sorry to hear about your car RUDY!

probably too late to do you any good now, but the rear end will make all kinds of strange noise freewheeling at speed up on the rack, a peg leg rear is louder than a posi.

If it does not make the noise when it is NOT up in the air--don't worry about it.
Does it?
I thought U did brakes a couple months ago?
It could be the halifax not lined up with the larsis! Or possibly the kanuter valve is clogged up!

U should be ashamed of yourself. U shouldn't tease Mike like that! He's a good guy and this is his first car. U know good and well, there is no such thing as muffler bearings on a thirdgen! They use bushings!!!

click on the link above --see, they are bushings, not bearings!

opps,.. sorry
, but i always thought those were the manifold bushings,.... different from a muffler bearing,..
i know these are the old style, & they don't seem to last very long,
http://www.mufflerbearings.com/
or the new style,

they also have some other good stuff there, like crossdrilled brake lines, camshaft rotational dampeners, & something i need for my car, chromed hollow spark plug wires.

be sure to check out the Products section here, they have lots of great hard to find stuff.
