Sounds like Owen has made a pretty sweet offer.
What part of town did you say his shop is in?
Is he good with the Second Saturday in November?

I pulled off my old calipers, rotors and lines today. Tomorrow I hope to pull the axles, install the new brackets, re-install the axles and get the new calipers and rotors mounted.
If I'm really lucky I may get the new lines in. In any case I still have to start on the front before I will be ready to bleed anything.

Nope I didn't anywhere near adding fluid. I ran in to a couple of unexpected difficulties, first neeeding an axle puller then presssing the bearings off of the axles. Now I need to find some new bearings to press on and then I can start reassembling the rear brakes.

That would really tie this thing together well.
This is building up to be a really good day.
Mike will PM ya, want to get together this day or sooner! If you can do a group tune, let us know what you require.

Well, I will probably show up whenever/wherever we go--just to hang out. I don't really need any services at the moment (kinda bucks down these days). The only real project I am gonna do is replace the y pipe and I pretty much have that covered.

I would show to help weld subframes.. The only thing I need is a prom burned...
A member of TGO offered to do a group burn if 5 or more people go in at a time at 225 a car... Which gets you a EEPROM assembled to a memcal adapter and a zif socket.

The 19th is good for me. Might want to include what project people are planning in your head count. SFC's, tune, brakes, etc.
I need the SFC's welded in, and interested in the group tune.

If I'm able to attend at Baytown, I'll bring my laptop and other goodies. I'll most likely take the truck to Baytown so, get ahold of ZAP cause I'll probably look for him first when I get there.

Just for the sake of conversation, I do have the new y pipe, etc, on the way and plan on having all that done as soon as it gets here. Plan on putting in new plugs rotor, cap etc, so I think we will be ready for that final fine tune.

Hey Mike, are you going to be an equal opportinity tuner there? I will bring my chip burner and with my Zif socket installed I can make changes between runs.

Mike,
Did U get whatever it was fixed, that prevented us from scanning the info, that made us come out to my house, to use my scanner?
By the way, my scanner has been returned to the owner--I do not have it available anymore.

Maybe I should do a before and after.

Well, the MAF scanner works on some cars and others it doesn't. It's a beta version of Datamaster 32 (MAF). So to answer your question, it's still a gamble.
The SD scanner works great ALL the time though.
Also, you don't need any PROM corrections for the fixed y-pipe and cap and rotor. The PROM in your car IS fined tuned and the car won't lean out or richen up with those above mods. But, I can take a look at it ya like.

I'll be out at my shop this Saturday, finishing up (I hope) my LT-1 rear disk converion. If anyone has anything that they want to work on this weekend, and need a place to do it or a little help, let me know...
I will probably need a little help with my brakes and will be happy to repay in kind with a little labor, welding, lift time, etc...
I still plan on going to Owens shop when the time comes. He sounds like a good guy to know.

Cool, I'll give you a call. I hoping to go out early, maybe fire up the smoker... and ice down the beer.
A buddy will be coming out about noon to work on his TPI conversion ('81 'Vette). If anyone wants to help sort out his new wiring harness, I'm sure he would appreciate any help he can get. Not to mention the sooner he gets it running the sooner I'll have my shop space back to use for some other project...

Where exactly is this being held at? Directions?
I will mostly likely be able to make this on the 19th. I will bring my electronic gadgets with me.
Those wanting ECM's worked on will have to send me $60.00 (per car) no later than November 10th so I can cover the parts / shipping and have them by the 19th.
ZAP, I'll see what I can do about a better MAF scanner. A buddy of mine has Diacom. Maybe I can talk him into letting me borrow his laptop with Diacom on it.
Those who are interested, PM me.
