January Hou. Area Tgo Monthly -- Sat.-- 1/21/06

The January Houston area Thirdgen Monthly Meet will be Saturday -- 1/21/06 -- 5:30 to 6:30/7pm @ Hooter's

It is not very clear in the Hooter's map below, but it is on the "inbound"side of 59--heading towards town from Sugarland.

http://hooters.know-where.com/hooter...e=324&address=

Since the Otto's BBQ Sat. night car show/ cruise-in is within eyesight, I would suspect we would all go hang over there for a while afterwards.

C U THERE!!!

PS Don't forget the Mod Fest at ESC's shop Sat morning/afternoon--C that thread for more details!

I've marked it (and every third Saturday) on my calender. So I'll be there.

Also, since it is right arounfd the corner from my shop, if anyone wants to take advantage of the facilities (compressed air, small lift, extra pair of hands) that afternoon I'll be there.

Howdy,
New(ish) guy here. I expect to have my 89 IROC ls1/t56, etc done by then and will be at a drifting event in Houston on the 22nd ( www.dailydrifter.com & www.sputnikfx.com/hosted/ifo/ ). I would probably be coming down the night before and would like to meet several of you & your cars.

Hope to be there

James Evans

Somebody assked recently when/where the next monthly (maybe in another thread)

Since there are 5 major concentrations of Hou area Thirdgen.org members (please refer to the list in the members stickied thread) , the rotation would be: SW--NW--SE--W--N --and then start over.

So, that means:

Feb.--NW

March--SE

We will probably have the big meet --2006 SPRING FLING --around the end of April or first of May--we may or may not have a monthly, depending on how it all works out.

I don't have a specific address, but the meet choices are all righ at the intersection of Alt 90 (Main Street) and 59 south. The SW corner of Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway) is near by. The mod-fest is just up Alt 90 from there. I think that everything will be in the 77477 zip code.

Since Hooter's is taking a commanding lead in the vote/poll It will probably be there--if not will post the location--which all the choices are within a couple blocks of each other.

It is not very clear in the Hooter's map below, but it is on the "inbound"side of 59--heading towards town from Sugarland.

Howdy,
I won't be able to make it this weekend, haven't finished the car yet. Hope to make the next one. Here's a couple of pics with the motor in it:

Looks good--make it go!

Hope U make one somewhere down the road! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that likes the look of a "LeBra" on a thirdgen Camaro!

The meet will NOT be cancelled--rain or shine it will be as scheduled.

The mod fest, I'd say play it by ear--U know how weather can be in Hou. It can be pouring in some parts of town and no rain whatsoever in other parts.

The Mod-Fest WILL NOT BE CANCELLED!

At least not by me.

I'll be there working on my car. Waine (the body man) will be there working on a project that he rescheduled to tomorrow, just so he would have something to demonstrate on. There will be hot food, cold drinks and more than likely (even if it rains) a dry place to work on another car or two.

So who was the mystery thirdgenner that showed up and joined us at Hooter's? Anybody get his name or what kind of car he had?

I am sorry that I can't remember his name but he said he hasn't registered on here yet so hopefully he will. He has I believe a 90-91 formula that had a 305 tbi that he is completely restoring with a 350 tbi.
