Couple of things I want to mention:
First--since we do not actually have a pavillion reserved at Deussen park, the first people out there need to kinda cruise around and find one and lay claim to it, (preferably one with lots of shade trees if we actually have a choice) and call me on the cell phone. If U are not one of the first ones there, call me and I can tell U where in the park we are. If U go in the first entrance, there's only one main road thru the park and it dead ends into a T--left goes back out to the main road to the park--right goes towards the lake. There are pavilions either direction. The ones by the water are probably better--better background for pics. Since it starts at Noon, I am going to try and get out there early and have one staked out.
713-823-7019
All the meets we have ever had there was like this and it worked out very well--plenty of room at that place.
Second-- When we go to the track, it would work out better if we could all park close to each other. If there is not room in the regular pit area, Grahmn Baker (owner of the track) said we can always park in the pit area of the roundy round track, so we can stay together in a group. Although it would be better/closer if we can park in the regular pit area--just have to get there and see.
If U have a pickup truck U are coming in rather than your thirdgen--even if U are not going to be making any passes on the strip, it would be REALLY nice if U could park in the pit area, so we can have something we can throw extra stuff in the back, so it it not just sitting out in the open when we are making passes--as in any public area, things do have a tendency to sprout legs when left unattended out in the open.
If U are NOT going to be making any passes on the strip, needless to say, do NOT buy a tech card, and do NOT drive all the way to the back to the pits. Just park to the left in front of the roundy round track in the spectater parking area--close to the finish line, and walk back (short walk) to the pit area.
Third--Don't forget whatever "creature comforts" U may want to bring--food--drink-- appropiate clothing for whatever the weather is that day-- portable chairs for both the meet/BBQ.
And don't forget your cameras!

chit...at this rate, I dunno if my POS is gonna get me there or not... I blew the radiator apart today after I ran it hot (only for a split second). So Tommorow I'm gonna source a new one. HG looks fine..but ya never can tell on turbo cars...those buggers ahve a tendancy to lift under boost. I took my thermostat completely out though, so I won't ahve air bubbles causinmg me any trouble anymore (who needs heat anyway...). All i ahve left once that is solved is to find that damn oil leak and stop it. I don't wanna leave a slick spot for some 1200hp dragster to slip on..

Zap,
You are being a little wishy washy on whether we are having the SF today. Could you be a little more specific.
MMroc86,
It has stopped raining here in Pearland and I am waiting for the streets to clear up a bit.
