'95 10-bolt disc rear with 4.11's for sale
'95 10-bolt disc rear with 4.11's for sale
Selling the 10 bolt out of my car to swap to a 9-bolt. Its a '95 rear, not sure on the mileage, but all center section bearings/seals were replaced about 5k miles ago when I swapped gears. Rear is complete rotor to rotor.
Rear has:
-good rotors, replaced when rear was swapped in
-good pads, half life left
-Motive 4.11 gears, very quiet, hardly any whine
-LCA relocation brackets
Rear is still under the car at the moment until I have an interested buyer, at which time I'll pull it. I can get photos for anyone who wants them.
This is a great upgrade for any of you drum brake/non-posi guys.
Would prefer a local buyer, but will crate and ship if you pay shipping.
Rear is located in Angleton, TX 77515
*Sale Pending* to someone in Florida if they want to pay shipping

Sounds like a heck of a deal!
Educate me-- why a 9 bolt--are they better/stronger? I thought getting gears for those were hard to find? NO?

gears run about $330.
9-bolt is stronger, plus the added bonus that it is the correct width. right now I'm having a problem with my rear tires scraping the fender lip when at full suspension compression due to the backspacing of my wheels.

Oh yeah--that's right a 4th gen is wider--requires different offset wheel.
Can U get 9 bolt parts?
Why not a 12 bolt--cost?

yep, 1" wider on each side. and the wheels I'm running are already a strange offset/backspace, so it fender lip comes down right on the shoulder of the tire.
yeah I searched through some of the posts here, looks like Randy's Ring & Pinion - Your Source for Differential Parts is the cheapest for gears. found a couple of places that have install/bearing kits.
I would love to go to a 12-bolt/9", but yeah its cost prohibitive at this point, costs about $1500 for a bolt-in rear, not looking to spend that much right now.
*whoa, it put the name of the link in by itself. cool

there was something I meant to ask you about the 9-bolt but I totally forgot what it was.

I can see 7.7 E.T.'s with 4.11's.

I would almost rather sell it to you than ship it to Florida anyway. This guy has seemed a little sketchy so far but I'll see if he is in fact interested.
I was asking $250.

26 spline axles, just like later 3rd gen and all 4th gen rears. I have no idea what you mean by pinion count.

Probably means number of teeth on ring and pinion?
