This isn't fair

I took my car to a GM dealership to have my gas tank recall fixed.
Well our gas tanks are diacontuined and they want me to pay $200
To remove my aftermarket exhaust to put in a new tank when they find one.
That's just not right. It's a problem GM made. So it should be fixed regardless of what iv done to it

umm...dont you have to remove the exhaust either way, aftermarket or not?

you shouldnt have to pay a dime for a recall fix

They're not going to pay to cut your exhaust system. Factory was clamped in for easy removal.
You can get a complete tank cheaper than the 2 bills they want to charge you.

Re: This isn't fair

for some reason i was under the imipression that the dealerships wouldnt fix the gas tank after so many years.. I found my gas tank leaking and saw that it was around the neck filler. Then i researched and saw that its part of a recall.
But anyways, you're saying I can STILL take the car to the dealership and theyll fix it?
