Hello all, I've got a 91 RS with a Silverado engine in it that just isn't working out, I'm definitely thinking I need to find an engine that'll work better in this car. The guy before me put a 6.0 vortec in it and a th350 transmission but realized it wouldn't work without working on everything else, so I've been doing what I can for maintenance and such. With a fuel line and a header leak and some rust I've been looking around for any engines or parts I may be able to use. The shop that had my car was going to charge me 3400 to fix just the engine and 8k to swap it (yikes). I've got a couple things like the rear diff and I'll need new rotors and brakes all around too, but if anyone knows anyone selling something I could use or a place that may have them in the Austin area or around, I'd really appreciate it.
(Edit: I found a 350 kit for under 4k, I know I would need more parts to go with it if anyone could let me know what else I would need I would appreciate jt. I'm asking for a lot of info but I'm trying to figure things out and do it right.)

Reason: More info
I just listed my 28,200 mile, 1987 IROC's 5.7L engine, the 700R4 transmission, the engine wiring harness and ECU along with the ceramic coated headers and the complete exhaust system for $3000 on FB Marketplace. I'm in Montgomery, TX about 3 hours east of you. If you're still interested, you can see it here:
I'm partying out and scraping an 87 IROC with a 350. Unknown miles (no dash). Previous owner removed the TPI bits (I have a lot of it... He hacked up the wiring harness sadly) and the engine has a brand new summit intake, new carb, new looking distributor cap. Headers. I'm in college station. I'm literally pulling the engine this week.
No. I pulled it off the market and decided to keep it. I didn't want to sell it and the entire wiring harness and then realize down the road that I needed some of the wiring. Probably not but who knows? Not only that, but my younger daughter really likes my red '87 IROC but she'd like to have a black IROC of her own. If I ever buy her one, at least I know that I have a perfectly good running, low mileage 350TPI to swap in if need be.
