I really like Mustangs. They are easy to mod and getting cheaper to mod. They have a very strong aftermarket. I am building a 1993 mustang to class race. It is a stock suspension car with a 310in with a Procharger F1R. The car should run deep in 8's.

I also like mustangs. I have a 1965 Mustang right now and I had a 1990 Mustang. Cheap cars that can go fast.

I'm not a fan of them. My best freind has a 93 stang with 3.73 gear, Comp box upper intake, a larger cam (forgote how big), the standard mustang exhuast of 2 chamber flowbastards and H-pipe, and a bunch of other mods. The handling is nothing like my Z nor does it keep you pulled to your seat threw all 5 gears. But thats just me, I hate Stangs!! There is so many of them where I live they are like nats.

They're American, V8, and the drive wheels appear to be in the rear.... I think they're ok. Just not on the same level as an F body.

I have had prolly 25 fox bodied mustangs. I liked them. I was ready for a new challenge so I moved to f-bodies. F-bodies are far sleeker and have way better interiors. They look better.

If you have an 11 sec f-body you are fast. I you have a fox bodied mustang and dont run 11's then its a turd.

Mustangs sit too high, wallow through the slolam course, have a roof line that is too high, windshield that isn't raked enough. All in all I think they are ugly and all too common (every ******* has one). Ford's interiors are cheap, their electrical systems are a poor joke. The engineers at Ford have no concept of style.

I would have to agree with you on that. I've seen too many that aren't aerodynamically sound. Also, if Ford really wanted a fast car, they should have put the 351 N/A in the Crustang instaead of the crappy 302. (I know they are crap through experience.) Hell, even U.S. military sports cars are ALL GM PRODUCTS! :hail:That should show the high quality in our cars. I have even seen an 00' supercharged Olds Alero beat a 03' Cobra. In conclusion, they are cheap and fast, but if lighten up they stock F-body, you will put them in a world of $h!+.

Grew up on Chevy's and never was a fan of Mustangs. They are way to common to me. The only Mustangs worth anything are the Shelby versions or the later 69 Fastbacks. With the exception of the new body style and the fastbacks...they are ugly cars. Those mid 60's convertibles are the worst..yuck. I will give Ford one thing, the Mustangs stock sound is far better than anything Chevy ever did.

The only mustang I would ever have would be a '69 or '70 Boss or Mach 1... Absolutely beautiful cars. I almost traded my 87 Z28 for one, but I decided to stick with the devil I know. Other than that, I hate mustangs.

Uncle - I'm with you. Those Boss and Mach 1's are pretty sweet.

On a side note. I went to the 1/4 mile track last weekend and a Firehawk with NOS raced a Saleen Mustang twice and beat him pretty badly. The Saleen was blown and had NOS as well.

I have to admit Uncle, but those cars you mentioned are nice looking. Its just the fact that a lot of people around here (Lower Georgia) act like Mustangs are the only cars that should be allowed on the street. I know as well as you all know that there is no displacement for displacement, but you have people asking me to put a 302 in my Firebird!@#@$%^&**(*()? (I had to get it out) I've never been beaten by a Mustang since I've had my first V-6 Firebird. Now, if you match a Trans am with a Cobra, equally match the parts with their respective engines(Ford 302/ Chevy 350) Give them BOTH blowers, and who do you think will go faster. Just a thought.

I own a 83 camaro z28 and my daily driver is a 96 mustang gt.
I like both ford and chevy. Chevy engines might put out more power. But ford engines sound so good though a dual exhaust without cats. I get chills when i start my car up every morning.

I love RUSTANGS. If it wasn't for them driving around here could get boring.........Picture this......... Your sitting at a red light minding your own business when out of the blue MR. MUSTANG himself pulls up revin his a$$ off so you can be impressed with his great sounding flowmasters. Need i say more. On a serious note, my first car was a 68 and i loved it to "death" (tin can now). Not to fond of the later models though.

Okay i know some of you hate mustangs, I used to till I got one. I own a 92 GT coupe. It needs a lot of TLC but hey so did my Maro and now she is gorgeous. butb anyways my stang will wax my Z28 up and down the block thats why i got her. I got the body and the engine out of a 67 fastback( also 12 second car) for $1000 so i came out on top.
