oh man shawn you missed a good show last night i would like to thank everyone that came out alot more cars and everyone that showed up said that they were coming back next week. i was also thinking whenever the weather cools down and i get my car back i would like to have the meet out at orlando from what i have heard some people havent been out there and i figure see who wants to run and who wants to watch and whoever isnt running we can sit back watch everyone and bring some beers (for whoever is 21 or older) and cokes for the minors sucks guys i know but what can you do! maybe even if we can get ahold of a truck bring a grill cook some stuff its all up to you. everyone can halp out have any ideas feel free to post it there something i might not think of. if someone wants to have a meet somewhere else. sometime during the weekend post it! Last night was cool. some guys waitin to get their car back, some guys lookin for cars....I like the potential! I should bring a camera next week.

The strip idea is a good one. Sounds like there is some fun to be had out there. Ill hold the cooler and I might be able to get a canopy thing from my dad, if he dont have it in use.

Also Old Towns cruise on Friday nights is for 1987 or older cars. If anyone wants to check it out, I was thinking about it some time soon. We can meet some where and cruise out there or just meet out there.

And of course the Camaro meet out there in Oct. As metioned in the other topic.

Can someone post a link (ill look too ... z28.com) to the info on the Silver Springs (?) show that was talked about last night?

 

It was a good turnout. im glad i got out of work at a decent time, hopefully it will be the same next week. I enjoyed all the conversation. Actually learned alot, and seems like i need to learn alot more, motor wise, that is. As far as cosmetics, i can do, but when it comes to the motor i will be able to get alot out of you guys. as far as the motor work get with me my dad owns a machine shop and they do all types of stuff rebuilds just about anything you can think of expect for port and polishing which is something i want to learn how to do good i have his cards in the blazer ill bring them next week. thats goes for anyone hit me up Later Daniel

The thirdgen scene in Jax is not as I would like it to be. The local f-body club is River City F-Bodies and they meet every Wed at different places each week.

Tues and Sat nites at BJ's and Thurs nite at Sonic on Southside.

 

Dan87GTA, you remember Cody with the black 86 iroc with silver stripes? i got bad news his car cought on fire this afternoon. it appears that his battery exploxed and caused the fire. the hood, bumper, and wiring harness is gone and pretty much everything under the is burnt.

ya its still at sonic well i can believe that happen to the car if youve seen under the hood its a wiring nightmare no joke i almost took a pic. not to put down him or his car but it needs alot of work. im sorry to hear that happen and i will help him any way i can. i have never seen a battery explade but i bet it will do some damage!!!! he hasnt called me yet ill go and see it some time. i hope he is ok! i didnt really notice the wiring most of it was gone. the car overall was pretty nice. was the car quick?

 

well he claimed it ran 13's but i quick he is somewhere in the high 14's maybe even low 15's. ya the engine bay was plain but just the wiring was all over the place i saw bare wire exposed and everything. its a clean car from the outside like if you saw it on ebay if there was never a under hood shot you would buy without thinking! but the minute you pop it i would have slapped the guy it needs alot of work. how did you hear about it? how much damage did it do? i was driven down aloma and it was sittin on sidewalk infront of the kfc i used to work at. i say a broken 3rdgen so i figured i would stop and it just so happen it was cody. he told me it went low 13's to. the hood, bumper, fuel lines and pretty much everything under the hood, oh and the interior had like 3 inches of water from the fire department. is everyone still meetin up wed at sonics?

its all good. i know his car is faster than mine. i already raced him from a 40 roll he pulled on me as soon as i went into 3rd but only by like a car or so by 80. oh well it will be fast soon enough. cant wait to kick some LT1 ***.

Well today my boss told me that on wednesday he is going to take is 72 Mustang out to the track to run another kid with a SRT-4 just for fun of course so im going to head out there if anyone wants to meet me out there i get off at 5 and will be out there by like 630 or 7 and thats if it doesnt rain you know how FL weather is who knows? it should be a pretty good race between those two i would love to see some other people run see what some of these cars can do! my car should running for sure this weekend but i still wont get it for another month cant wait for Oct. my friend has one head done and hes working on the other one he said hes almost done then hes heading up here to give to me after that me and my dad is heading to his shop to finish them up and get them flowbench i will post the onfo on that most likely the next week ill be going down there the finish up the beast i know everyone wants to see it so not to much longer damn it fells like forever. if you know you will be up there please post i will look for you. hope to see you there Later Daniel

yeah, it was tight. there was 2 other 3rd gens and a bunch of 2nd and 1st. Lots of Mustangs and vettes. It didnt even rain!
