hydraulic clutch problem
ok,this sucks. i was leavin my neighborhood last night n my clutch kinda popped,i felt it in the pedal atelast, and it wouldnt go into gear, its hydraulic. it had pressure but i couldnt get it into gear. then it started working again. now its working, but i wanna fix it before it does this when im somewhere important. i dunno if this ahs anything to do with it,but a while back id have the clutch pressed down for a lil bit n itd loose all pressure and start engaging the clutch,if anyone has any ideas, lemme know, thanx

ok,when i was under the car,i ahd a friend press the clutch pedal and the release cylender moved maybe an inch or so. and i was pumping it by hand from underneath and some hydraulic fluid was drippin down from up under the engine compartment. so i dont know if that helps or not.so im guessing its either the master cylender or the release cylender, but im more towards the master cylender.

you live near me right beau? u wanna come and look for urself? im thinkin now it might be my synchros or somethin, but i dunno, cuz all gears wont go. im confused as hell right now. the slave moves when i press the clutch, but the arm going from the slave to the clutch , when i press it in my hand,it kind of wiggles and seems loose. i might drop the tranny tomorrow. when the car was rollin, i could slide it into gear 2.lemme know ,later
HEy..I live at Scottsdale and Camelback...I would be willin to look at it ...Does the little bar on the slave cylinder move enough to disengage the clutch??I really dont think it has anything to do with the inards of the tranny..go the easy route first then if that doesnt work go on to the next thing...

heres the fork inside the bellhousing, i could move it around and slide it out if i wanted to.
Well dude..looking at that the tranny is not shot but you will need new clutch fork, bearing and clutch itself...The spring looks like one of the pressure plate springs...replace those parts and you will be set to go..

The smaller round peice is your throw out bearing. The spring is probably from the pressure plate itself.
New clutch disc, pressure plate throw out bearing and by the looks of it, a new fork.
Good luck. Spend the $ on the alignment tool, it will make the re-assembly 100% easier and you probably wont have to do it a second time.

i had a mechanic friend come over today and he said the clutch is fine, its only a year old, if that. i took off the bellhousing and no springs are missing from the pressure plate or anything, i think the spring was on the fork itself because theirs a small place on the back of the fork for somethin round to go over the piece sticking out.

You might wanna go w/ the 94 T56 hydraulics too. Steel braided line, fits in the firewall the same, and the slave will work too, and the assy. is cheaper than the T5 stuff, new from GM vs. new from GM.
