I took the diverter valve off to get the dual snorkel on. Does anyone know if they will look for or even know what a diverter valve is when I take my car in for inspection. I still have the cat and air pump in place.

 

No one has tried this yet???

 

If they have a visual, I'd try & put it back on; not worth failing & paying twice :\

 

Hey Bill, I see you live in scottsdale probably somewhere near me. There's a new club starting for arizona basically a phoenix club i dont know if you know about it. It's Arizona f-body association. They're having a meeting this saturday at 1 or so. Here's the website. It's mostly 4th gen's, lt1's and ls1's. But there is a couple of first, and second generation cars. Well I have to work this Sat. @ 1330. And Sunday I start vacation and will be on a flight to Chicago at 1100. I will not be back for about 8 days or so. I might make the next one.

As far as the dual snorkel. I took it down to a place called Papago Plating. Its around 22nd st and Washington as I recall. Took them about a week and it was $85.

 

Have a picture of what it looked like??? I'd like to see that.

Here ya go. I have some Magna braid I will try to put on while I am on my vacation. I have been waiting to do this while I flush the cooling system and put new upper and lower hoses. I keep putting it off, it's a messy job, but I am going to force myself into doing it when I get back from Chicago and Las Vegas next Saturday or Sunday.

Hi everyone, a couple of months ago I shipped one of my 3rdgens to Prescott for my son to use while he's at Embry-Riddle and put AZ plates on it. I just wanted to verify that the AZ emissions testing only applies to Phoenix and Tucson...

Oh, gotta say that the drive from Long Beach, CA to AZ was insanely enjoyable after being trapped on an island in the middle of nowhere ... I'm still having withdrawels after coming back to Hawaii.

 

I would take it through without the valve...The guys out here didnt even realize that the belt on my smog pump wasnt on...They won't even know what a diverter valve looks like anyway...
As for emissions in Prescott....there isnt any...jjust in Phoenix and Tucson...
