The idiots didn't even take anything. Retards. The window is laying on the ground. I have glass coverage. The door triangle was broke off and sitting inside the bottom of the door. And the door is all pryed apart at the front, the mirror housing is all dented and the mirror is shattered. And I'm hoping it will cost more than $500 to fix, or else I'm up a creek. And what's worse is the adjustor who's coming out was the adjustor for my GTP when it was crashed. He only gave me $5200 and I owed $9,300 for it. So I'm looking forward to him bending me over w/o lube.
On a lighter note, I got the speedo recal gears yesterday so hopefully the 3.42's can go in this weekend. I can't wait. 2.73's suck!!!!
Anyway, feel sorry for me, hold me, and tell me everything is going to be all right.

Don't you just love living in the #1 property crime state in the country? It got me curious as to what the statistics in my town (Tucson) were. TPD was nice enough to make a little color coded map!
http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/police/ucr/prop2004.pdf
A majority of 1/2 mile squares of Tucson have a theft every other day! My particular favorite is the Wal-Mart down on the south side with 3 per day. Park Mall area has 2 per day.
If you check out these 2003 statistics, Phoenix is worse off on most property theft, but we got the violent crimes.
Phoenix Crime Statistics
Tucson Crime Statistics
Nogales is below both cities on all accounts. Huh. And the city my family moved from because of all the crime... 20% the national average on all counts. Time to move back east.

That's interesting, and I can relate to high crime rates having lived in LA for ten years. Because of my planned move to Kingman hopefully the middle of next year, I also did some statistical comparing and discovered Hawaii has higher crime in a couple areas than Kingman, auto theft for example. Here in the islands, just like in AZ or anywhere else, it's a matter of trying to make your ThirdGen a less desirable target by covering, parking off-street, or in a garage, nothing of value inside, noisy alarm with ignition kill, removable steering wheel, fenced yard with patrolling dogs, video survellience, brake lock, and a 3.57 magnum. All border states have more problems with high numbers of transients and illegal immigrants. At least Hawaii doesn't have those problems, except for those who might be very good swimmers...Originally posted by Synapsis

You have to be careful of averages on those things because they can be pretty misleading. I mean if a place had a 20% crime rating average with a population of 10000 (2000)
and a large city of with 500000 in it had a crime rate of 7% the larger city still whopps the small one in actual crimes commited due to the population totals. (35,000)
It has been one of those controversial things ever since they came out, because you have to adjust everything for the actual population that the rate is based on.

All the numbers I've been looking at are per capita. We have more property theft here per capita, so *I* have more of a chance of getting my car broken into. Or in this case, BigWhiteGTP.

IMPORTS ARE FOR GIRLS!!!!!
Well the breakin occured early Wednesday morning. It is now Friday and I have yet to hear from the claim inspector. I called and left a message on his voice mail 4 times, I called his office, she says possibly monday, and I called the head office to request a different inspector only to find out fri-sun is there weekend. I am pissed!!! Meanwhile my car sits outside with a giant hole so any lowlife or animal can get in and take a squat. WTF??! The window guy came but the clips on the window were broke that hold it onto the brackets on top of the inner door and the triangle was busted out as well.
I love insurance companies!! Wasn't there a commercial a couple years ago about how a claim inspector came over the same day and cut the person a check? What company was that? It sure as hell isn't Country Companies.
COUNTRY COMPANIES SUCKS!!!!

Well my firebird got a attempted break in last night. Looks like they only got as far as bending the window outward some, enough to pop it out of the run of the triangle piece. They scratched up the tint some propably trying to hit the power lock button, little do they know how hard my buttons are to push lol. Im guessing the alarm sent them running cause thats as far as they went. Good thing to i had a bunch of tools in the car, time for a car cleaning.
BASTARDS!!!
