Website Update...

As some of you know I am doing a club website re-design for my Web design class and were down to the last week(Presentations are on the 12th!) Luckily I just have to finish the Members Profile section and work out some gliches and figure out how and where to upload the site on to the net...I wish I could figure out a way to show you guy the finished deal without uploading it. Ive got it on a zip disk and I dont have a zip drive at home, but I think I can get it burned onto a CD on Thurs...I wish my dads laptop wasnt dead or else I would bring it to the meeting on Sat. to show you all!

NEWays, I havent learned frames yet, so when you click on Message Board it will open in a new window...sorry if thats annoying...Events is the same way only it opens to the Message Boards Sticky Calander of Events because I havent figured out a layout for it yet...

I havent decided how I should do the Member Profiles yet, wether it will be where you click on the name and a new window pops up or wether I should use a whole page for each person and you have to click to go back, what do you all think?!? I also need to get info from the newer members too!!

As for Tech Articals, we have none that I know of, so If anyone has any...I think I heard Lon say he had one posted somewhere...

And Links, I have all the ones we currently have and Lons TDS site, anymore you can think of? I was also thinking of a way to maybe add the SoCal Thirdgen Friendly Companies under links too...

I forgot we were electing directors so soon! Im going to have to go back and change names but oh well...

Here are 2 attachments of the gif files to show you the basic layout...the front page will maybe eventually have news or maybe a car of the month on it...and the logo isnt permenent, Im waiting on Bret for the real one...

Well thats about it for now...any comments/suggestions/ideas would be welcomed...things may not get changed right away cause Im on a deadline next week and I need to have it almost completely done and on the internet by next Thurs and I still dont know where or how to upload the site...

(sorry so long... :hail: :lala: )

Go to the main page and read my source code. You know how to do that right? The bar on the left (which isnt a scrolling bar, but I have decided it should be) is where the links are from, you can find out there what I did to make stuff open in the same window. I dont remember myself

I need to figure out how to get stuff uploaded to Nick's new server.

Hmm, I might have to hire you to revamp my site I'm not that creative with this stuff. Was this done with HTML? I learned alot about HTML from this website www.htmlgoodies.com . I was able to do what you want with the frames, open in the same page, yet the main side bar stays. Check out my site and the source. You have to assign target names to the windows and then on the other page tell it what target window to open in. Looks very good otherwise.
