I would call in sick! Or better yet, tell them your 'old Camaro' died - they'll believe that!

Here are some photos from tonight's meeting at Ricky & Ronnie's - it was a great night, very good food and lots of cool people to meet and talk with. Thanks to all who were able to make it!

Here's one of the cars: (my 'vert is in the foreground!)

It was a really great dinner. I met a lot of new cool people & of course the cool people I already know! It was fun listening to stories! & a little embarassing seeing some of those videos with me in it! I really liked Vincent's street racing tapes.

This was a really good get together. Good food and good time. Hands down, beat Knott's Chicken Restaurant IMHO.

Black car or red car?

1st both spun, second both spun to about half way through hooked to a dead even pull, third both dead even, half way through fourth the red car put a car on the black one, shut down at around 115

Heads up, Street tire to street tire, all in all…not bad at all...

Nicely done Vince, it felt like we were back in the late eighties again! Once Ken get his RS dialed, it's going to be on!

Sorry I missed again...

I was at the PRI (Performance Racing Industry) show in Orlando on Saturady. Lotsa toys and goodies, but not much new or happening for 3rd gens. I talked with Rick Jensen, editor of GM High Tech magazine about him looking into a story on Craig Moates Ostrich computer adapter, so you can do real-time laptop updates on your tunes instead of having to burn chips and re-test every time. If it happens, it probably won't see print for about 6 months.

Anyway, happy holidays everyone. I'll try and make another meeting as my travel schedule has now slowed down.

TJ, why am I not surprised to see you?
These guys are pretty cool, it was a fun evening. If it were summer, we probably would have been there all night - lots of interesting stuff, all third gen...all interesting cars.
Too bad your g/f won't let you come out and visit, you'd like the cars out here!

If you guys are going to talk about private stuff, perhaps you should use private messages instead of public forums.

This isn't a tech board, it's sort of a continuation of the conversations we didn't finish or didn't have the other night.

Maybe someone should plan a meeting for January, and then we won't have to BS so much on here!

That all depends on your definition of appropriate...

I'll let you guys know when my next comedy bit is, I believe it will be at Irwindale so unforunately you guys will only get half the jokes (1/8 mile vs 1/4).

If a tree falls in the forest and you aren’t there to hear it, does it still make noise? If a couple of old friends just happen to be on the same industrial strip with a pair of high horsepower cars, and one of the guys dips into the throttle and the other follows suit can you call it a “Street Race” if there aren’t any spectators?

…crippled with curiosity…

Actually, no, it DOES NOT make noise...
Any reference to such an event is just hearsay and conjecture.
