Very distressing news to report
If anyone can help me find a solution it would be greatly appreciated.
I have been served notice to vacate the premises by 12-1-'06.
The owner is putting in new equiptment and another business and needs the space.
I will be doing my best to find a new place and hopefully will come up with something.

He has all that work because he does good work. He knows f-body's, and he has reasonable labor rates for the work he does. He is stressing because he needs the steady income. He doesn't normally charge $3000.00 for an oil change, but he has commited to rebuilding enignes for people that would tie him up for 6 months to finish without adding any other work. He is currently working on 3 engine builds for people simultaneously, and probably won't have time to finish them before he has to pack up and move. If he has to move stuff into storage because he can't find a shop, he doesn't know what he'll do about finishing those engines, let alone building engines for other people. Personally I find your post quoted above to be totally out of line, completely offensive, and I can't post what I think of you as a person because of forum rules. If I was Don, I would not do any work for you at any price.

Don, that sucks!
What sort of radius of distance are you willing to consider relocating? If I remember correctly you lived not too far from your shop, meaning that you would want to stay in the arear correct? The reason I ask is that I have some contacts I could speak to, mostly IE of course but if you let me know what area(s) you had in mind, I will pass along the information.

Sorry to hear about that Don!
Hopefully you can find something close to where you are now.
And, still be reasonable in price.
Good luck with the move, I was surprised by how much crap I had.
I figured just two big truck loads, not 9!
I'd offer my big truck, but it is still full.
Hope things work out,
George

If you do any moving on a weekend.. let me know what one, as I am in and out of CA frequently. I would be glad to come down and help out.

I've got a few commitments in early October, but I presume you won't be ready to move before November or December. I'll leave my schedule as open as possible, just let us know when to help with your move Don.

OK, everybody.....listen up.
I have a place to move to but it all came up rather quickly so not much notice.
I have to be out of here this next week.
So it looks like it will be a mad rush. Al those that were willing to help, speak up so I know what to count on.
Thanks in advance.

I can help Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Friday as well as a week from tomorrow. I'm not sure about Wed. I may need to work in Corona Wed. The only other problem is that my daughter is due to have her baby at any day, and may need us to do some baby sitting with my other grandson, but I would be surprised if she doesn't have the baby by the Sunday night. Her doctor thought it would come within 48 hours and that was 40 or so hours ago.

I know this isnt help...
But I just wanted to wish you the best of luck Don and Kevin. I have never met you in person Don but I just wish that somebody who does so much for the 3rd gen community can pick themselves back up, find a new building, and get back to business.
You are a huge asset to this community and if I could help you I would, unfortunately I am tied up all the time recently. So I hope my kind words will help you get through your tough times.
