Proportioning Valve Differences
there is Prop valve #14089496 ----- 1LE
and prop valve #14089497 -------- regular 4 wheel disk
i mistaking ordered the 1LE prop valve and am using it. the problem is the front brakes seem to be most of the work(they make a moaning noise) and start to smell burnt pretty easily
. system has been bled. Am i correct in assuming since the 1LE have bigger calipers, that the prop valve is designed to "proportion" even more fluid to the front than the rear as opposed to a standard 4 wheel disk setup? this causing my fronts to work harder than they are supposed to? i'm throwing ideas out here guys.. well if that is the case, what is the difference between the two valves? is it the spring that regulates pressure to the rears(the spring in the front of the valve)? or is the internal valving too different, warranting the correct prop valve be purchased? if so i will go ahead and order a replacement. well i hope some of guys here can shed some slight on this foggy subject.

The proportioning valve on our cars is actually refered to as a "combination valve" it controls both flow and pressure.
You need to get the correct "combination valve" for your application.
Thanx,ANDYZ28
