Anyone tried installing 4th gen calipers?

The 4th gens use dual piston PBR calipers which appear to be pretty similar to our 1LE brakes.

I'm curious, has anyone tried installing a set on their 3rd gen? Since 4th gen parts are pretty ubundent I'm thinking this could be a viable option.

Hmmmm, then I must be getting confused.

I was checking out the new Camaro Performers mag and they did a Wilwood brake upgrade on a 4th gen camaro. They claim their car had 4 piston PBR calipers in front with dual piston calipers in the rear, before the upgrade.

They also mention their car is a former GM test mule, so it's possible it had some type of one-off factory brake set-up. I was thinking the PBR's were standard on the 4th gens.

Just wanted clear up some info. on this. A buddy of mine who frequents this site has a 2000 SS Camaro. His car HAS PBR front calipers.

So, back to my question. Has anyone looked into getting the 4th gen PBR calipers to work on our cars?

Is there a way to mount up the LS1 brakes up front?
