I've got 98+ LS1 rear disc brakes on my '89 rear end.

How did you manage to get the parking brake assembly to fit up and work?

sorry i read the topic too fast, or didn't pay attention, thought you were asking about the front. just the dumbass in me coming out again.

 

I fabbed up a bracket for underneath the tranny tunnel (using a part of the OEM brackets that bolt to the LCA's - I've got pix coming) to hold the two cables' ends where they connect to the actual brake cable (Da<x>mn, did that make any sense?). The brackets will bolt right up to stock LCA components after drilling a simple hole; I have Spohn tubular LCA's and relocation brackets so I had to mod mine a bit "further" to get it to work.

I'm anxious. I just got a brakeless '89 9 bolt and I'll need a set of these. I'd really like the drum e-brake inside the rotor type, just for the coolness of it.

I was just at a junkyard today and they have a 4th gen that was in a wreck and caught on fire. The car had disc brake rear with the 16" 5 spoke wheels on it. I didnt look at the gears yet but i would think its posi since the car had a 350. I was wondering if the rear and brakes will work on my 86 z28 with drum brakes. the only thing i tought was different was brake lines but im not sure. wondering if anyone has done this swap and what kind of gears the car might have (its an automatic and i know there would be a tag but i didnt look while i was there) thanks!
