Jegs SFC WTF

I just had a set of Jegs SFC installed. I wanted them bolted then welded in. The installer told me there was no place to weld them onto and after checking myself he's right! They bolt to the front floor and use the bolt from the LCA in the rear. There is no surface to weld them to. According to Jegs ad it say's " designed for easy bolt-in or weld-on construction". How the f-ck do you weld them in??? So now my floor pan is connected to my LCA. So what. I want my subframe connected! Can I now add a real set of SFC? Which brand? Any suggestions. Thanks

yea thats kinda why I didnt really want those SFC's. But if you still want to keep those AND put antoher better one. The only option I see is the ones that lower groudn clearence. I have that style. Works really well but I lost like an 1" or so of ground clearence. I have a brand called terminator.

Do you know who sell's the Terminator brand and what the cost was? So they will fit with the Jegs? I don't mind giving up an inch as long as they will fit and they can be welded to the beefed up jacking points(subframe). Do they use the LCA bolt hole? Thanks

Mmmm, I have the JEGS subframe connectors and had a racefab guy weld them in... essentially he welded the back end onto the LCA bracket, in places along the rocker panel and at the front attaching points.

I can understand wanting something stronger, but if you want them welded in you could perhaps take the car somewhere else and see what they say about attaching them.

I have those. I welded mine along the body. I installed some spohns on another car and I would still buy the Jegs ones first.

i'm about to install the jegs sfc's. when you guys got them welded in did you have to keep the carpet out of the way? were there any hints or things i should do to make the install better like watching for wires and fuel lines?

You must move the rug and padding. They bolt to the floor pan under your feet. To me welding them to the floor pan and the lca bracket didnt seem like the right thing to do.
