whats different about the suspention on the later year 3rd gens to make them feel more stable and ridged?
They also started using bigger swaybars and possibly better springs the newer the car was. It also depends on what model each was. I read an old article on someones sight from car craft or something like that. They were testing out a mid 80s WS6 transam and they stated that it had a much better feel than the iroc they tested earlier. I think that this may have been due to the fact that the ws6 began using bigger swaybars earlier than the camaro. With new/upgraded parts you could make any f-body handle as good as another since all of the parts are interchangeable.

Our cars have a bad rep for rattling and squeaking as they age. The earlier models are the worst.

) that GM stiffened the chassis a bit for the final years. Not sure what years, or if this is even true, but I agree that mileage is also probably a factor.
