What is the diff. in Front LCA's from 82-83 and 84+
Just wondering why they sell the DEL-A-LUM suspension bushings in two part #'s:
Part# 1021 ( fits 1982 to mid 83) Price $129.08
Part# 1022 (fits mid 1983-92) Price $129.08
What is the difference in the two? are the front Lca's different? I had planned on either buying front tubular LCA's for my 82' (with spring perches) OR just rebuilding / powder coating the extra set I have for an 87 IROC, BUT it sounds like that may not be possible... Anyone shed some light.. lonsal, Steve Spohn, anyone?
Thanks in advance

I've been wondering that myself for some time.
Another question is how do you know if your car is pre or post mid 83.
Is there a code or a particular manufacturing date etc.

Here's some useless info, the LCA arms off my buddies 78 Malibu are the exact same as my 86 Birds. Already checked out price differences and there is none.

yes. all the factory control arms will fit. if you can get some tubular, then they'll fit also. so long as they say it will.

I've bought to many "WILL FIT" parts that DON'T..
just like a global west wonderbar won't fit an 82 because of the straight mount sway bar bushing (gm piece will fit
)SO anyone (or mrr23) done this?
