Which Lower Control Arms Should I Buy??

Im interested in buying lca's for my car (for the rear) and Im wondering which ones I should buy.. Im not asking "who makes the best lca??" Im building my Firebird to "stock height" so Id want the Lower Control Arms - Std. Tubular with Poly Bushings right? The lca's that have adjustments are for vehicles that arent "stock height" right?

Later..

Dan

adjustable lca are for any vehicle. they allow front to rear movement of the axel. i think its a good option to have.

How many times do people with Adjustable LCA's actually use the feature and how often??? Not to many times in my opinion.

true. very true. but it only take the 1 time that you NEED the adjustability for any reason that you wish you bought them. and now your out of luck or more $.

I agree with you if the car is lowered, but not on a stock supension one.

The adjustable ones are for people who want to change the wheelbase of their car. It's a fine-tuning aid for a racing situation, not necessary at all for the street.

I'd recommend the Lakewood ones.... that's what I have, with the Spohn lowering brackets and his poly bushing torque arm. Seems to work quite well. Here's a pitiful pic of it.

Nice car uk.. Did you install a hotchkiss rear swar bar on your car?? I was just looking on the internet for info about hotchkiss and didnt see that they had any red rear sway bars in production. And yes..I noticed how hotchkiss was a lot more money compared to Spohn and Lakewood.

Sorry, that's a seventies retro British thing..it's short for Fabulous.

No it's not a new sway bar, but seeing how I had to take it off for new poly bushes I painted it to match the Hotchkiss stuff. Those boxed LCA's look (and do) the business.

hey my 82 Z28 has the red hotchkiss(big solid rectangle) LCA's and also the exact same panhard bar(in above pic) on it

i was wanting to fond out about them ? do they make any difference in handling or anything over stock ? or is it mostly for looks ? i see that the LCA's have grease zerks

so means they arent rubber bushed ?

does anyone else have these LCA's or panhard bar on their third gen ?

noticecably better handling or anything ?

yes i know this is an old thread- i actually use the search feature here,,

thanks
