spohn wonderbar
spohn wonderbar
i purchased a spohn wonderbar and it does not fit.
it has a slight bow in it, and i can get 1 side on however the other side is about 1/4 in out of alignment.
i have it positioned correctly.
has anyone else had trouble? or is there a special trick due to the bow in order to tighten everything?
thanks

[QUOTE]87transam5.7tpi I just made my own wonder bar out of 1.5 in tubing. it was VERY VERY easy to do, I'd suggest to anybody to make there own if possible. it cost me like $5 to make.

Do you have any pics you could share? What is and where does a "wonderbar" go?

I don't have any pictures right now, but go to spohns site and they have a picture of one installed. they go in between where the swaybar mounts to strengthen the front of the frame. Great mod for the money!!

Hey thanks for the idea. At the Spohn site they have an installed pic. Now I know what you mean when you say it is a great mod for the money. Last year I had to weld my frame where it began to crack around the steering gear box.

Oh, I have made almost all of my chassis and frame parts so far so I think a "wonder bar" should not be to bad. I made my own SFC, STB, adj. panhard, 6 pt cage, and LCAs. I did however buy the Spohn torque arm/crossmember when I changed over to a TH-350.

Josh, i saw the spoon wonderbar,
you have used 1.5" tube, must be better than spohn,
they use 1.25" x .120". or maybe 1.25 if enough?
Still i'd like to see yours, I guess there Exactly like spohn, it's so a simple desing, can't go wrong.
so it bolt between the torsionbar bracket and the "frame" of the car... is that right?
