Spohn SFC's
Will the Spohn SFC's work with 3" y-pipe? Are there any clearance issues?

Not on my car! I have the old boxed SFCs and there is about maybe 1/16" clearance between the y-pipe and the SFC. The cat is another issue, if you've got a 3" cat then it will hit the crossmember. Now that's the old boxed ones, there are tubular ones now that are supposed to be better for clearance like that but I wouldn't know, I wish I could have mine taken off actually. I didn't notice any handling difference when they were installed, if the chassis was any more rigid the difference was not apparant. But alas I cannot, for they are welded on and a part of the car forever.
Only install problem with new tube type Spohn SFC was I had to drop the SLP exhaust and remove the Catco cat heat shield. But this was mentioned in the instructions.
Really? I didn't have to move mine at all
I'm running the 3" catco too. Maybe mine isa little different because it's the SLP Tri-Y headers so maybe the y-pipe ad collector are in a slightly different place...

My set up is SLP 1 3/4 headers, SLP slip fit conecter, 3" in/out Catco Cat and SLP 3" Catback Exhaust. Well mayby each car is different, no big deal the SFC's are installed. Just so other people know what to expect.
I've got the 1 5/8 Tri-Y's, 3" Catco slip fit, and the 3" SLP Cat back. Maybe since yours is the 1 3/4 tubing your collector is just a little but more over to the side than mine. Oh well, like you said, each car is different...

It cost me only $100 and it took exactly 1 hour with me guiding the guy through it and colling the welds down with the hose after each one was completed. That 1 hours included removing and re-installing the rubber deflectors that run along the bottom of the gfx, they perfectly hide the SFC's

The best price I have gotten from a shop is ~$150. They said they would have to look at the car though.
Some other places have said it would be ~$200-250. More
I'm not sure SFC's are really worth it if the install is that much.
