Corvette brakes on my WS-6!?

I was doing a bit of rear suspension work on my car this weekend and when i pulled off the rear aluminum calipers and brackets they have "CORVETTE" stamped on them. Is this normal on 1992 WS-6 cars? For pictures look here... PICS

Let me know what you think.-Mike

PBR? I am almost positive the brakes are all stock. I can post more pics tonight but basically this bracket bolts to the backing plates and the caliper bolts to it.

PBR is the company (Australian actually) that makes the stock aluminum calipers.... that's why those 3 big letters are cast into them.

Interesting. I wonder if the backing plates that have the magic word stamped into them will stop the car faster than ones that don't?

Ahh I see, I don't know what the difference is, just thought it was funny that GM let that slip out the door, has anybody else seen this on other cars? Maybe it was just because mine was built the last year of the third gen?

1LE's and C4 corvettes use the same brake pads.
so any 89+ Fbody can use 96 corvette rear pads.
and if you have 1LE fronts, you can use 96 corvette front pads.
