serious traction problems

i went racing last night and didn't do as well as i was hoping, mainly cuz of lack of traction. seems like everytime i step on it from a stop, my tach climbs up, tires scream but i aint going anywhere. i know i need LCA's which i do plan on getting. but gettin other stuff like a panhard rod, torque arm, bushings, etc. basically all the minor bolt-ons. will i see a significant improvement from it? basically what i wanna know is, if i can make the tires stick to the ground better without changing over the rear end or gettin another set of tires. and if so, in what order should i get this stuff? thanks.

P.S. the current suspension upgrades i have are in my sig.

pull that front sway off, it helped me with weight distribution.

-a good a set of LCA's with relocaion brakets (adjustable)
-a new panhard rod(adjustable)
-adj. tq arm
-sfc's
- if you have no replaced your rear shocksthis would do some good. along with some springs.
- the last thing you should do is replace the poly bushing on your sway bar.

once you do all of that, it will alll come down to the tuning and the tires.a set of et streets will help with the tuning.

Best thing you can do for the money is get a better set of rear tires. i know you said you don't want to but thats what its going to take. I don't care what else you do, if your tires are spinning then its a grip problem that only better tires will cure.

Once you have good tires- then the rest of the stuff comes after in order to harness the grip and stabilize the chassis for better weight transfer.

good to know. all i have on now are springs and LCA brackets. my wheel hop went away but traction didn't improve much. i'll eventually go with everythin mentioned. i realize now how important suspension work is and gettin power to the ground.

well i drive the car everyday so i have to have street tires on it. (currently have bridgestone potenzas 910s). last night was my first time actually racing in front of a crowd. if there is a set of tires i can buy that'll grip better then lemme know. when these wear out i'll look into gettin a better set.

You want the best 16" street tire availible- not perticularly designed for drag racing, but they have the best cornering traction AND braking traction- those alone make it a grippy tire for launching on standard street low profiles- Here's a link:

oh and with a set of et streets, i would say get a set of et streets and be happy but if you pshing 300hp, and going wot from a stop ur bound to break sumthing

nah i try not to stomp on it otherwise i will break somethin. but even so my tires still make noise. i should definitely feel an improvement once i change some parts and get a better set of tires.

and i know there's always a risk of somethin breakin but you're not really thinkin about stuff like that when you're at the line in front of a crowd gettin ready to see what your car can do.

looks like i cant go wrong with either the Goodyears or the Firehawks. are you running stock size with the 16" rims? those tires look pretty wide.
