Brakes are pulling HARD to the left.......

What's going on here?

When i hit the brakes the car literally turns to the left, it's pretty damn bad.....

What could be the problem.....

I read over some posts that mention stainless steel braided lines for the front?? Any links, numbers or anything to these would be great? Or is something else the problem that i should check out......

The car has new rotors and peds, both replaced within the past 2 months....

Thanks in advance

possibly a seized left front caliper. Jack it up and see if you can turn the wheel by hand, if not, it's frozen. think of a bulldozer or tank, you slow down one side more than the other to turn...the same thing may be happening to you.

I had the same problem when I bought my current iroc. Turned out to be the brake lines. You may want to replace them if you haven't in some time.

Yes, it could either be the left front caliper, or the passenger, front side brake line could be clogged.

If the brake line is clogged then your in luck, its cheap as hell, and relatively painless on your wallet. ^_^ About $10 for new rubber brake lines.

Oh yeah, Flynlow, that signature looks great. Who made it?

Maybe not necessarily clogged. It might be getting old and worn and just be expanding and not as much pressure is getting to the caliper.

One brake may be getting more fluid then the other. Did this happen right after you installed the new rotors?

p/n 361-28A180 on jegs for disc/drum setup

and p/n 361-28A190 on jegs for disc/disc setup

those are the p/n for the earl's hyperfirm SS brake kit. Heard a lot of good things about them and plan on picking up a set for my car soon.

i think you'll find the RIGHT caliper is frozen. when you step on the pedle, the left caliper is the only one that works...so you pull to the left! it's very common with these GM brakes....especially if you keep the car out in the elements and parked for long periods.
