rear suspension noise
i just finished putting in the new shocks/struts, springs, lca's, panhard bar, lca relocation brackets, and everything is great as far as handeling and ride and such. The only problem is every once in a while i go over some bumbs and it sounds like my rear suspension making nocking noises like something is loose, only I'm pretty sure that every thing is tightened up. I've checked everything once, but i plan on checking again. any other suggestions?
Do any of your new pieces have spherical rod-ends on them? Those make a lot of noise, and vibrations when going over bumps. Even with the poly bushings there is still more noise, and vibrations than with the stock rubber bushings. Everything is a lot stiffer which translates into more noise and more vibrations.

i have poly bushings on the lca's and the panhard bar, i want to put it up on jackstands and check everything out, maybe even box out the old lca's and see if the old rubber bushings get rid of the noises.

It could be a squeek at the top of the rear shock mount. You may want to grease that bushing up really good. Also, grab your rear spring and shake it. There could be a rattle there. Mine rattles so bad if you as so much lean on the car you can hear it. It is utterly annoying and sounds like the read end is about to fall out.

There are two things I would check.
1. check the mounting of the rear shocks. You will find this under the carpet behind the seats kinda high up. When I first got my car I had a very anoying rattle back there. Is sounded like the noise you describe - like the whole back end is about to break loose... When I went to replace the rear shocks I found that rattle. It was the right side shock absorber. The nut holding it in place had loosened and over time the bushing there had worn badly...
The other thing I would look at would be exhaust. It could be that a hanger is bad or missing or something. I have a rattle that I need to do something about now. I just installed SFC's and the clamps that connect the Cat and the exhaust pipe are right over the SFC on the passenger side. Every now and then I can hear them knock together...
Good Luck!

all good things to check, i just replaced the springs and shocks, so nothing is worn, but i definetly am going to check that everything is tight. I'm pretty sure its not the exhaust hitting because i have the shocks at the stiffest setting and when the exhaust does hit it makes a different noise, the annoying noise that i'm talking about is like a knocking that comes and goes as it pleases.
thanks for the replys, i'll post an update this weekend after i check everything out

turns out that after the bushings on the new endlinks for the rear sway bar softened up a bit they needed to be tightened up. They were pretty loose and after tightening them up and checking everything else the annoying sound is gone, now i just have the creaking t-tops and everything else that makes noises.
