Suspension measurement needed to see if i have a drop on my car
Hi,
I was wondering if someone with a 91 camaro,305,and 16" rims can get a measurement for me.I need a measurement from the center of the fender to the ground...Im not too sure if i have a drop or not. Here is a picture of my ride.

From the pics I would say it might be lowered a little. Have you gotten up under the back to see what the springs look like? The stock ones are not coated while most aftermarket ones are. I have the pro-kit and you can tell they are not stock.

if it is lowered, raise it back up! im totaly against lowering the f bodies. doesnt look lowered to me. see if you got some nice rusty springs under there. if you do then they are problebly stock springs. you know, they could be stock springs that are just sagging.

If they are black and have a thick coating of funk on it with various paper tags atached to them then they are stock. Aftermarket ones are usually coated a certian color and have a lot thicker coils (about .25 and larger).

You really don't like lowered 3rd gens? With stock wheels I can see that but even with aftermarket ones? A little lowering and some new wheels makes these cars look perfect like they were destined to have big rubber.

lowering the f body doent do anytthing except cause problems. sure you might gain handling a bit, but now you have more stress on the front end. also, if you have roads like i do up here, you put your car at greater risk of damage. and think about it, tow guys have a hard enough time getting out cars on flat beds and tow hitches as it is, how the hell are they going to do it with a drop?! but if you like lowering it, go for it. just not my thing. i actually lifted my cars rear a few inches.
