Strut tower brace sets pretty high....

I just got my Hotchkis strut tower brace and i was getting ready to install it, test fitting everything and i noticed it sets about a good 1/4 inch above the plenium.....

the instructs say that it should be about 1/8 to 1/16 above the TB... is this right????

Mine looks like it sits kinda high, but after I got the mounts bolted on, I pushed the bar down to the bottom of the mounts. I don't think it's touching the hood or the plenum, lotsa room...

your motor could be lower then it should be...here is where mine sits. i have a ton of room however the miniram is significantly lower then the stock tpi intake.

Jeez, seriously; at least throw in some AC lines and a compressor. That CAI looks nice!

i think ti was the way the car was sitting at the time...

i backed it out (oddly without any brakes) and had it on level ground and the STB sites a bit higher...

but probably replacing the motor moutns would be a good idea in the future...

When I installed my Hotchkis STB I needed to put aluminum shims under the ends for clearance of the TPI. Clears the hood but leave indentation in the insulation. I guess my motor mounts were like new. Frist time I heard about too much clearance.
