Need help identifying this part:
Can someone please tell me the name of this part? Mine appears to be bent, on the other end where it goes under the exhaust pipe. The previous owner slid on ice and hit the right rear wheel on a tree, and the rear end seems to be knocked over towards the driver's side about an inch. My questions are:
What is the part called?
Is there an aftermarket version, or will I need to get one off a junkyard car?
Are there nuts on the back side of the 3 bolts in the picture, and will I have to take other stuff off to reach them?
(BTW, This pic belongs to Irocster, borrowed from this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=236796
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

The red piece is the panhard bar. The piece with the arrow pointing at it is another bar that connects to the end of the panhard bar on the passenger side. It's supposed to have a couple bends in it, I believe, but the piece in that picture is stock. You can get an aftermarket tubular version somewhere. I don't know the name of that bar, though.

Ahhh, ok thanks guys! Yeah it looks like it's supposed to have some curvature to it, but I think mine has too much. here's a shiny spot on the underside where the panhard bar has been hitting it. I looked pretty closely at the rest of the suspension, didn't see anything else bent, lower control arms are straight, springs look ok, torque arm looks normal, shocks are up.
OK, I will do more web surfing to see what the part is supposed to look like..... now that I know the name of what I'm looking for.
Thanks again!

Scroll down a bit to the panhard relocation kit. That's sorta how it looks. You can read more about it here: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=234134

Hey, thanks for the links, CaysE!
That's kinda what I was thinking..... I'm obviously no suspension expert, but logic tells me that if you start moving things off - plane, like raising or lowering a single side of the panhard bar, that forces are going to be altered and things aren't going to work the same.
And 200 dollars..... that seems steep, considering that the base panhard bar is 89 bucks!

Well, this is interesting.... found it at Granatelli Motorsports. The description says" and all for only 236.00!
Maybe I could start a new career! Go around to all the junkyards pulling the panhard rod braces for a few bucks each, weld a flat piece of metal on top, slap some paint on and sell for 250.00!
Anyway, here's the pic:
Install this upper panhard rod and improve traction and handling. By boxing in the factory upper panhard rod, we triple structural integrity and eliminate flex. Each system includes an OEM panhard rod with precision welded boxed steel and a durable powder coated finish. Installation takes 1-hour using basic hand tools and factory hardware. Each system is backed by a limited 90-day warranty.
