Front Suspension Upgrades
I am taking my engine out this weekend and I figured this is a good time to do some front suspension upgrades. I am looking for a occasional driver and auto-x/solo 1 car. I have a ws6 car so I dont need a sway bar. What suggestions do you guys have for upgrades?

good struts, good springs, new steering stuff if needed, a wonder bar, poly (or del-a-lum) bushings. any further then that and youre talking tubular cross member and control arms

If its a WS6, he should already have a wonderbar, but can get a larger from TDS, or adjustable from sphon.
For sure need subframes
Good struts
the billet strut mounts (cha ching)
adjustable panhard bar (depending on class)
poly bushings everywhere
Lower it with eibachs. (depending on class)
create a trans tunnel brace like "agood2.8" did.
Alot will depend on class you plan to run in. I'm in ESP, and I can get away with about 2x the mods I have now.

the first thing I plan on getting is Spohns Front End Rebuild kit. Should I put the kit in while the engine is out or wait until it goes back in?

well...the engine is out and I noticed that my k-member is really beat. I am looking into a tublar k member...but... I am not sure how hard it would be to install...Does anybody have any advice? Thanks
Wonder bar, strut tower brace, solid tie rod end sleves and different alignment specs like global west has. Everything else on ws6 is good enough. DO NOT replace your ws6 springs with ones that are softer / taller. Most replacment springs fit into this category, they are less responsive. But you SERIOUSLY need to replace all the old original parts FIRST if you want to do it right. You dont want to be the guy on the track showing off your car and then not finish the run because your old balljoint or tierod end breaks. Not pictured below are strut bushings, I got them shortly after taking this pic.

You gotta replace it all or make sure it works 100% if you want it to handle like new. Then your upgrades will make a real difference. The kit is good, the parts are easier to put on without an engine in the way.

I'll be completely rebuilding my front end in the coming weeks. As it sits, the car has the F41 suspension package. My parts list includes Spohn adjustable wonder bar, Spohn billet strut mounts, Koni "Yellow" Sport adjustable struts, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Spohn front end rebuild kit, poly tie rod and ball joint boots, and poly control arm bushings.
My question is, does anyone have any advice on the best way to remove the old bushings from my control arms and install the new poly bushings? I'm a GM technician, so tools are not a problem, but our front end guy says it's not worth the trouble (huge pain in the a**) or risk of damaging the control arms. Help please! Thanks.
