Brake Problem
Brake Problem
I didn't think my rear brakes were working properly and they were about do for a change. So, I bought new pads and rotors. Well I pushed the piston back in just about all the way. The passenger side rear wouldn't go in all the way, even with force. I decided to buy new calipers too. I installed them and everything, blead the brakes etc.. Except I didn't put the E-Brake stuff back on. Weight and another unknown spring. The reason why I skipped putting it on is because 1. It is a pain to get off 2. It wasn't even hooked up in the first place. So I just put the caliper on without E-brake stuff. I put everything back together and put the car in reverse and it won't move unless you hit the gas and there is a lot of drag. I can't seem to figure out if the e-brake has anything to do with it being stuck. Now I started putting all the stuff back on, but I can't remember where everything goes.
If someone could please tell me any info I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

[ No its on my 88 IROC which has a 92 REAR END.
Here is my theory though. I looked it over a little more. There is a little pin and lever that attaches to the parking brake cable. Well, one caliper came with it and one came without it. I don't know if it was a mess up or what, because both of the originals had them. I put one of the old levers onto the new caliper. The only thing is that part of the piston is sticking out more on the side that has the pin. It won't push in any because the pin and lever are in the way, which makes it exremely difficult to put the caliper on the rotor with the pads in. I'm not sure what to do and I need to get this done by thursday.
I will try and attach a pic so you can see what it looks like. The pin and lever (can only really see the lever) is in the top left corner.
I am also putting a pic of the Parking brake stuff I didn't put back on.

That spring and bracket work in conjunction with that lever.Even without hooking up the parking brake cables I'd still install the spring and bracket you left off.

Here is where I am having trouble though. Even if you adjust that little screw on the opposite side, the part where the parking brake attaches will not go in any further. It's metal to metal. The parking brake side of the piston is sticking out slightly further than the opposite side and I it's hard to slie the caliper orver the rotor. Should I just take all the parking brake stuff off completely? will it caust problems?
here is that lever that is pushing the piston out more and I can't get it to fit over the rotor.
