Dupli-Color Caliper Paint
Dupli-Color makes a new caliper paint system. I guess you can paint the calipers right on the rotor. They provide a surface cleaner in an aerosol can and paint/brush and paint in a second. Has anyone tried this stuff yet? Is it easy to work with or should I be going back to the more traditional way of taking the calipers right off and on to a bench? The product site is as identified below.

Yeah, but at 15.99 versus .99 and a little prep with masking tape and elbow grease you already have is a cheaper alternative. No, I haven't tried.

May sound corny as hell, but I bought a can of high heat engine enamel spray paint at Autozone (1200 degree aluminum),cleaned my calipers, then sprayed a 1/2 detail brush tip with the paint, then brushed it on the calipers and the finned inner edge of the rotor, as well as the outer edge of the rotor that butts up behind the rim...I did this a year ago and everything looks as good as the day I painted them. I also wound up painting my rear drums as well with the aluminum paint and they still look new. Even though the paint was applied with a brush up front - it dryed super smooth and looked like I had sprayed them.....Kinda hillbilly-but-it worked great..
Thats the stuff i was thinking of buying i made a post about this yesterday in the appearance board. Can you just buy the can of paint in there cause i dont need all the prep stuff i have everything i need in my garage for that.

I used Plasti-coat engine enamel on mine. It works fine and holds up well as long as you dont get any brake fluid on them.(yeah I know) I used starter fluid to clean the calipers, degreases and drys instantly.

Oh my ur suspension
its beautiful lol. What did u do to the rear end cover is that paint i like it. Since we cant get alum covers yet for the 9 i was just gonna buy a new plug sand blast it and strainten it out good. Then i was thinkin of sealin the plug shut also, shouldnt need to change it again till the new cover comes out if it does.

Don't seal the plug, you never know when you might have to top off the fluid level. It won't hurt it if it leaks a little bit..
But yeah its the stock cover, just took it off, beadblasted it, and painted it that DupliColor 1200' Aluminum color, its sick, almost like a chromatic finish...

Charlie... I just beadblasted it and painted it black. After looking at its sorry condition, i couldn't leave it in there like that. Everything was getting painted, or replaced anyway.
You wouldn't happen to know if anyone makes an aftermarket one would you? I would definitely be interested in that

I've seen pics of the Comp Engineering one, but they no longer sell it, from what I can tell. Granatelli Motorsports sells one, and so does BMR. But well over 200 bones. Mine was bent, I went to a yard and found a pristine one, cut a strip of metal and had a welder friend box it for me. Cost me all of 3.50 + a free scrap of metal from work!
I started a thread on it here:

don't wanna hijack this gentleman's fine thread, if you want to reply to my original thread, I'll try and get up some pics there.
