anyone ? what clamshell required for spohn trq arm

recently purchased the spohn adj. trq arm with rear install kit. . . the tech said it ships with the forward busing, but for my '91 bird I'd need the correct clamshell to fit bushing 7-1609

anyone got a GM P/N for this ?

did you get the t/a with the crossmember as part of it, if so he was prolly talking about the tranny mount

see this link if it applys to you itll help a lot
link

if thats not what you have then you will have to change the clam shell t/a bushing and that is something i dont know, but you can find it in poly for sure, a few of the links at the top of the page carry them i think.

Steve's adjustable torque arm relocates the torque arm mount off the transmission tailshaft and onto the transmission crossmember.

You can use your stock clam shell IIRC, Steve designed the bushing that is supplied with the tranny mounted torque arm, for a 84-02 app.

thanks, but I recently purcased the fourth-gen style mount from my local dealer -- and verified that this was the correct one with Steve.

If thats right, then not only did I waste my time & money -- but someone should tell Steve !
Taken from here
NOTE: 1982-1992 cars require the use of a factory torque arm bushing clamshell mount designed for bushing type 7-1609. If your vehicle is equipped with a 7-1611 type bushing -- which all thirdgens come with stock, you will need to get the 7-1609 type clamshell. (See below pictures
