Do a search (I'm sure that the problem has been discussed). If I recall correctly, 90 up is self-adjusting.

i trid doing a search and nothing came up. The thing is that i converted to a 9 bolt posi disc with 3.45, from a open 3.08 drum. So what i did is that i used the e-brake cables from the drum, becouse the disc e-brake cable were all messed up. What should i do?

What you should do, is buy the correct parking brake cables that go from the adjuster (or the "not adjuster" as the case may be) to the calipers, and just hook them up.
Do a search; this question comes up every couple of days, and the part numbers that you could get at several of the chain parts stores that will work (seems like I remember seeing at least NAPA, Advance, and Auto Zone #s), their lengths, the discontinued GM part #s that they replace, etc. etc. etc., have all been posted recently.

Sorry, I assumed the 9-bolt had PBR's (The link did provide an e-brake part number and its length if you read carefully). Your best bet, as RB mentioned, is to call around to Napa, CarQuest, etc.

NAPA United Parking Brake Cable - Lt Rear UBP 93084 $27.49
NAPA United Parking Brake Cable - Rt Rear UBP 93215 $21.49
www.napaonline.com I used an '88 Camaro for the search car. So, you can buy these cables and install an older parking lever assembly which gives you adjustment and you'll be fine, but I'd also take a look into those calipers...they're probably frozen up and in need of the recall kit.

Even if he buys the right ones tho like i did i still dont think they will work right they didnt on my car. It cause he is putting pre 89 brakes on a 90. They wernt meant for the non adjusters.

Right...I'd swap the e-brake lever out for an older model to make them work.

I did what EB just suggested and got a ebrake lever out from a 89 and installed it on my 91. Well...when I had a 91 that is. Might also wanna check the condition of the cables. I found that the passenger side plastic coating on the cable had come off and got itself stuck inside the outer cable. So one side wouldn't even engage. O_o
