changing to 4 disk set up 13"

whats out there for good brake set ups i have seen the spohn stuff the wilwood looks sweet or some bears. what are the easiest to put on an 85 z 28. i am looking for a direct bolt swap if there is such a thing.

i am buying a disk posi rear for my car since i need brakes anyway figured why not get a posi while i;m at it. i should lower the car at the same time.

Look at the Baer PBR 13" kit. Comes complete with spindles. Just bolt, bleed, and go

Thunder Racing can hook you up with those:

http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...id=33&pcid=145

But why not look into the 13" C4 HD brake upgrade? Exact same brake parts and system for about half the price (assuming you do it yourself).

Look at Chris Shearn's (92RS Shearn) system here:

actully baer direct is the same price as thunder , kit is higher from bear but rotors are less. all in all 2k for all 4 wheel done not to bad.

you'll like them, might want to do a search on the rear though as i've seen a few have problems with conversions.

they work as good as they look.

i talked with both baer and thunder racing. baer had the exact info i needed thunder said alot "like ya i belive so" so any way it looks like 13 " baer sport on the front and 12" bear touring for the rears is what the reccomended to me. I just have to get my rear in hand so i can see what exactly it is they need to know that for the mounting plates.

i have coming from spohns lca and reloc brackets, adjustable tourque arm eibach springs, bilstien rear shocks kinoi red front struts, ya i know why two diffrent? i wanted bilstein but they are not in the country or avalible untill November. i can;t wait that long. what else did i get umm that other bar that centers the rear in the car forget the name.... so all in all i have alot of parts to install so this can roll....

Kandie what was the problme rear thing? problme with the brake conversion or the posi rear it self? or the rear drum to disk?

Thanks Jeff

you'd have to search...tommy knows.

the rear is nice, however it is basically gm stock as far as the caliper goes. the one advantage is the ability to run the 2 piece eradispeed rotor option. that is if your going that route. otherwise i'd just put gm stock on there as it's alot cheaper and the identical thing.

i've recently just polished my pbr's in the rear to match the front. working on getting the bracket to allow the 2 piece eradispeeds to fit the equipment. saves about 450...sometimes it's more hassle though.
