3 point strut tower brace for a stealth ram camaro
This spring i'm swapping my tpi for a stealth ram. I've heard that the stealth ram sits a little higher than the tpi. I'm looking for a 3 point strut tower brace that will fit with a stealth ram. If anyone knows what will work please let me know. thanks a lot.

This has come up before, and IIRC the consensus was that you have to make your own. If there's a STB on the market that clears the StealthRam, I don't know of it.

And the suggestion for mini ram might be good for someone who is considering both but not for someone who's already running the HSR.

one of my friends has got a custom one that guy in california made short run for people and it uses the front bolts on the strut tower than the bar runs to the front of the intake and connects on the 2 center bolts for top of the fan shroud looks pretty neat chrome. It might clear the stealth ram. and maybe that will give someone an idea on what to look at when making one.

The pic I'll show is off of a 1st gen Mustang, but the concept is the same. Something like this should be easy to fab up... Any ideas if it will provide the same stiffness as a traditional STB?

[EDIT] I'm referring to the 3 point brace, not the one in front of the motor [EDIT]

I think the stealth ram (While a good intake along with the LT1)
needs a little more work to make it work and fit like it should
I wonder where GM got the idea for a short runner intake????

big misconception......gm had them long before tpis thought about it. even with big cubes tpis is best suited for forced induction. unless you can get one used for cheap they aren't worth the metal their cast with.

The shortest runner GM had looked like a steath ram ...and even then it was made by SLP.
don't forget they had quite a few tpi induction units that were used on test and prototype vehicles. some of which were never used because of emissions and other bs but were viewed by many.

Look at the late-80's fuel injected 3.8 engine (in a LeSabre for example)....the intake runner is about 3" from plenum to head flange. They just didn't use short runners on the F-body engines.....torque was considered to be more important to the F- and Y-cars, while the V6 sedans needed all the help they could get in the "highway passing-gear horsepower" department. GM had short runners before TPIS was even concieved.
