Time to bite the bullet!!All suspension guru's please stop by

Well I have decided to bite the bullet and do it the right way instead going back and doing it again.Ive decided to bring UMI performance my business because of the prices they have and the feedback i have read from a few of our members...Now here are all my questions...I have used the search button but there are 50-50 answers to my questions...So here are my questions

Is there a need for adjustable lower control arms if i dont have an adjustable torque arm??Is it a rule to have lower adjustable control arms and an adjustable torque arm and to have non adjustable LCA with a non adjustable torque arm???Reason i ask is because I was going to buy the non adjustable LCA by UMI performance and i didnt want to buy the non adjustable only to need the adjustable LCA later on...

My second question is if I buy adjustable LCA,will i need LCARB?All and any info will be greatly appreciated...I plan on purchasing these stuff tomorrow afternoon....

My last question is,does anyone want to sway my vote away from UMI performance? Thanks in advance

Both adjustable LCAs and torque arm are not needed. Some people like the ability to adjust all of the suspension components, but setting the pinion angle is the most important. This can be done with an adjustable torque arm. Having both allows a greater range of adjustment.

I prefer to run solid LCAs and an adjustable torque arm and relocation brackets.

i would also go with adjustable tourque arm, adjustable panhard bar and non adjustable lca's. the adjustable tourque are allows you to set you pinion angle to where you want it and after doing mods like lowering and tire shock changes. the adjustable panhard allows you to prefectly center your rear axle. after doing my suspension my rear was out just a little. lca's i see no reason to adjust so i went fixed.

lcarb is needed if you experiance wheel hop on exceleration. they say they help stock non lowered cars. i did go with lcrab when i did my suspension upgrade. i get no wheel hop not sure if i ever did only project as everything has changed.

i don;t know anything about umi but i do know that spohns has some great products and ship super fast like 2 days for my stuff comes with detailed direction on how to adjust and install.

good luck with your mods.... lcarb as usully welded in how does umi make theres?

I checked out the website & their lcarb actually looks very similar to Spohn's one if not identical lol!

Do you mean that you got extra savings for buying all of those one time or just that the prices on all these items are lower than anyone else?

Just curious cause I'm considering them possibly for next year when I do my rear suspension.

Sorry to throw a wrench in your plans, but I'm going to have to disagree with some people here.

Your car is lowered, so if you "want to do it right," yes you should get adjustable LCAs, panhard bar, and torque arm. You're going to underestimate "doing it right" though, it takes more than just bolting on better parts. Read this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=268530
