sway bar + ford 9"

Can someone please either post a picture or explain how they used their factory style sway bar with the ford 9" rear end?

I bought a heavy duty sway bar from Thunder Racing a while back and I would like to re-use it.

I was thinking about making my own..
between the U clamp and the bushing bracket, what is that rectangular piece of metal? Can you think of anyway I could replicate that and weld them together? If not, the dimensions would help.

the big things are the different diameter of the axle tube, and it appears that the bar would hit the housing, so i think that piece must be a spacer, i dont think they would be very hard to make yourself

darcom, after reviewing your site, i have come to the conclusion that you have too much money, please give me some

but anyways, did you (or anybody with a moser 9") have any problems with it in anyway?

yup.

we did somthing similar with a 12bolt on a friends 4thgen..

regular muffler clamps Ubolts wernt quite long enough, so we got some from a hardware store... used some metal tube spacers.. worked great.
