I need help. I can't get the car to hook up at all. I need new tires and I was wondering if anyone had a recomendation for a rear tire that gets good traction and decent tread life. I have to drive in the rain and it would be nice if the handling wasn't compromised. I'd also like to get something that will fill up the rear wheelwells a kittle. I don't need a high speed rating. I have the stock 16 inch iroc wheels. What's a good combination for the front and rear tires?
Help me out and I'll post some pictures of a 700 horsepower engine I just bought

First: The BFG g-force sports have really good hook, my dad has them on his car (its an import, but makes more power than most of the GM v6s
)
Second: That is a little overboard on the engine, im sure you must be joking. The power is weak for the work and the mass of that thing!

I'm not joking. I'm getting the engine really cheap. Sure, something like a t-58 is half the weight and almost twice the power, but it cost way way too much for me. I may just put it in a boat or something. Or maybe some kind of exhibition vehicle. I just sold my jet powered go-kart on ebay for $2800

Lots of people have BF Goodwrench Radial TAs, nothing special about them, just a decent deal.
I've got Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s in 245/50/16s.
You can find lots of choices at tirerack.com, to learn more about the tire you will buy.

BF GoodRICH!!! tires are good, affordable tires. The radial T/A 's give decent performance when they are new and they wear slowly. (40 to 60,000 miles depending on number of burnouts!!) They are a harder compound, but you usually get one or the other. Sticky tires (Eagle GT's or Yokohamas) grip like the dickens, but wear quickly as they smear that nice expensive gooey rubber all over the road. Harder tire compounds wear more slowly, but don't grab like F-1 race slicks. It's all in what you want. If you don't mind buying expensive tires every two years get a nasty Z-rated tire!
