should i cut these dropzones first

Hey I just got these dropzone springs and i'm putting them in tommorrow, i dont want any wheel to fender gap, I did a search and saw that yous have experimented with these springs, soon i will be installing these 18" z06's but dont want any wheel gap. Should i touch these springs as in cut alittle bit off before i put them in and be pissed with results lol? if so how much just let me in on all the info. THank you

if you dont want any gaps you will probably have to take a 1/4 coil off and trim your bumpstop down a bit... if you want more then another 1/4 coil

heres what the fully compressed gap is with a 17" vette rim with the ridge of the bumpstop cut off.. the tires a 245/40/17 that are about 1/2" shorter then a stock 245/50/16.. so you can compare that size to your 18

as in 1/4 do you mean just measure from the end of the coil, as marked in the picture over a 1/4 of inch and cut there?

yeah a 1/4" from the end of the spring.. that takes it down about another 1/4" to 1/2"

those are nice springs.. where do you get them from.. they dont look anything like my jamex springs

I bought them off of (fastrnu) on here. He was nice enough to sell me them since he got a new set up. So should i cut 1/4" on both the fronts and rear. 1/4 of an inch can make that much of a difference?

the rears are easy enough to take out so if you dont like the stance its a quick change

You'll have to cut them out, not torch them out btw.

I wouldnt do it until you get your new wheels ready to mount so you only have to do it once, and do it right the first time.
