widest tire
whats the widest tire that'll fit on the rear? I don't mind a little rubbing around turns. Wheels are 15x8" draglites and I'm puting ET Street Radials.

i've got 275/60/15's back there now. no real rubbing issues. nothing a bfh couldn take care of in a wack or two.
i know guys are tucking 295/50/15's back there with minimal problems. how tall of a tire are you looking to run?

well I have a set of 26's, 28's and a tire machine, so I'm going to see what works better. I have a feeling the 26's are going to work better in terms of ET, but the 28's will be a bit more consistent and yield a little better MPH. I'm only running a 3.42 gear this season.

well, i know guys running 315/60's which are pretty huge, like 29.6" tall and somewhere around 11.5" tread width, 13" bulge to bulge. minimal inner fender messaging. what size tires do you have width wise? they'll probably be fine.

the 275/50/15's and 275/60/15. Just wondering if I could step up to a 295 or maybe a 315 without troubles. I think the wheels are about 5.5" backspacing and I've got some 3/16" and 1/4" spacers.

i plan to go to a 315 whenever i go through my 275's. but i'm going with a 10" rim for those. i wouldn't put them on the 8" rim. that's a little extreme.

i put a set of 325/50/15 mt radials on my car and i have previously beat my fenderwells slightly so they dont rub......but even on a 10" rim 5.5 backspacing they stick out about an inch wtf i tried them on my other bone stock 91 and had the same results the rim is inside the well but the buldge puts them out a lil but i damn sure like the size of them so i might try more wheel well mods and have a slightly shortened 9" put in. but they do fit and shortly ill tell you if the hook.
