The thickest bars were the 36mm hollow front and the 24mm solid rear. They came on some Z28 and WS6 cars.

are there solid 34mm sway bars? and if so, are they better than the 36mm hollow bars? what did the 34mm solids come on?

I believe there are 34mm solid bars as well, and they're comparable in stiffness to the 36mm hollow bar. It's hard to tell what size is going to be on a given car it seems. It's probably best just to just look for performance-optioned newer cars and measure what they've got.

Apeiron pretty much said it, however I'm fairly sure that the 36/24 combo was limited to 1LE Camaros and WS6 Pontiacs.

I'm running the 36/24 combo and it's wonderful

Late Z28’s, the early ones with the “good” suspensions got 32’s in the front.

The factory 34’s are hollow, but there were aftermarket solid 34’s and I believe 36’s.

FWIW, if someone has one I’ve been trying to find a hollow 34… seems like 36’s are much easier to come by then 34’s and if someone finds a 34 no one (else) wants it so they get junked.

You can find hollow 34mm bars on the front of late RSs with 16" wheels. They generally got the F41 suspensions. Or at least my RS cam with a hollow 34mm.
