Best 60 ft times with stock torque arm

How quick of a 60 ft time have you run with a stock torque arm?

Ouch! Man, your set up sounds pretty good. Why so slow? Not trying to offend you, I am guessing some serious lack of traction on street tires?

1.9 with a stock 305 TPI 5 speed, stock rear suspension and 3.73s.

Now with the 350, 6 speed, 3.42's, Spohn torque arm bxed poly LCA's and PHR 2.2 :squint:

Then again I added about 150 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels

My car went 1.703 with no effort. Not only do I have the stock torque arm, I have stock everything even the front sway bar. Next time out I'm positive it'll hit 1.6x's

Eh, I had only had the car for a month and it was my first time to the track. That was just with my SLP cat-back, street tires (Kumho 712) and stock everything else. This year I hope to be in the 1.8s or so and running 13s without the juice (still have engine work being done not in sig yet).

I pull 1.9's all day long with a stock torque arm. This is done with a complete street setup, full weight, cheap street tires (Kumho 711's), ~35psi.

11.03 at 124 mph with crappy 1.57 60' Do you think a new torque arm will solve the wheel hop I have out of the hole? I'd like some responses. My 60' went to 1.65 after I installed qa1's

LCA's and bushings will cure some wheel hop. 1.57 60ft wheel hopping? thats umm.. pretty strong. I have the Spohn adjustable torque arm and Hotchkis LCA's and have no wheel hop with 1.51-1.54 60ft ranges.

yes, I have video of the front end lifting and coming right back down again. I am guessing it is a torque arm thing since I have lca's already. it's the oddest ocurrance. would horizontal movement of the torque arm say .5 inch make it wheel hop?

I pulled a 1.66 short time in a manual before my rear broke. The TQ arm is bent all to hell. I really need a picture of that.

If the torque arm is not tight, like where it slides into the trans mount, you could get some rear end chatter causing it to wheel hop. With those 60ft times, I would go with something stronger. One that bolts to the crossmember and not one that slides into a little bushing.

You can go fast on stock suspension.

Stock LCAs, torque arm, and PHB.

Did you try to play with the dampening on the QA1s to see if you could get the front end to rise slower? Sounds like you've got too much weight transfer and you're blowing off the tires.

with just building a house I am a little short right now. But my plans are to get a spohn TA or the BMR track pac. Hopefully that with lcrb's it will get me into the high 10's with 1.50 or lower 60' times.
