36/24 bars, are these it? which links/ends to buy? - help identify!
I am considering upgrading my stock IROC sway bars with the popular 36/24 combo.. found a set for a fair price. Is the upgrade worth it for handling, cornering, etc? I plan to install new shocks, struts, and sportlines at the same time.
If yes, purchase the 36/24 bars... which bushings and end links to buy? These bars are just that, bars, and will require the purchase of bushings and links.
Also guy says they are from an 85 Camaro Z-28?? Could these be 1LE bars? He says the measurments exceed 36 mm f / 24 mm r.., perhaps rust?
Viewing the pics there is small holes near the ends.. could the front infact be a 34mm hollow bar?
Please help idenify... thanks to all who reply!

Front 36MM Sway Bar and Rear 24MM Sway Bar for 3rd generation Camaros and Firebirds. I have personally measured these sway bars and can assure you that they exceed these specs, but these are the measurements that I am aware of for this application.. They are out of an 85 Camaro Z-28. These are the front and rear sway bars from the 1LE in Camaros and WS6 in Firebirds suspension option. As far as I am aware this is the largest, heaviest-duty sway bar package available from GM for these cars.

Sure go ahead and upgrade to the 36/24 combo. I like the zinc-plated brackets and Guldstrand bushings that TDS sells.
I'm not sure that an '85 Camaro could have the 36/24 combo. Of course they could be non-original to the car. Make sure the diameter measurements are taken from a straight section of clean bar.
Visually identifying swaybars from a photo is difficult. Both the 34mm and 36mm swaybars are hollow, so the holes do not help you tell between them.
If the seller wants to sell the swaybars to you, then he will help you identify them. Quite simply, they are in his possession.

Ok well the guy stated in his auction that all sales are final and no refunds or returns... so last night I sent an email and I asked him to send me a clear pic on a straight and unbent section showing that the front bar was indeed a 36mm. I also mentioned that I was fairly certain 36/24 combo was not avaliable on an 85 Z28, but rather he had a 34/22 in his possession.
He replied this morning saying he had remeasured the pieces in question and now has some doubt about it being 36mm. He then ended the auction stating an there was an error in the listing. At least he was honest enough to do that.. I presume he'll relist these items at a later date showing the correct size (34/22?).
Thanks for the input guys...
So on another note, anyone got a 36/24 pair for sale?!

IIRC, some Firebirds had the hollow 36, solid 24 from 86-92 while some Camaros had them from 88 or 89-92.

Wishful thinking on the part of WS6 owners who never got over the fact that their cars didn't come with wonderbars.

The Hollander exhange for these (front only) is 524-11E. By the way, I've personally removed and sold 36/24's from late model Camaros.
