how to get c5 wheels to fit?

I am going to buy c5 18 and 17 offset wheels. The fronts are 8.5 and the rears are 9.5. I am not really worried about the rears fitting but worried about the fronts. I know i am going to need spacers also. But what tire should i use to make these not rub? My 16 iroc's rub for some reason and they are only 255's. Well I was thinking 245/45 and 275/45. What do you guys thinks. Ill also have a moser 12 bolt and a full spohn suspension when the k-member comes out in a while so will I have to buy new spacers when that gets that in? It's a stock front suspension 90 rs right now.

Thanks
Brandon

The 17" front C5's use a 245/45/17 tire and with a 2" spacer there is no rub at all. Stock rear tire is a 275/40/18.
I've got the Eibach Sportlines on my car as well,

Anybody think the 18 9.5's will fit in the front?

I don't see why not.
I had 18x10.5 and 18x9.5 Z06's on my formula

Any rub on those? I think I am going to buy 4 18x9.5 with 245/45/18 tires. This would allow me to rotate my tires regularly. that would be nice. Or maybe i'll just buy 275 rears. What do you think is best. probably 275 rears.

245/45 is too skinny and tall for a 18x9.5" rim. skinniest I'd put on would be 265/35, stock size was 275/35/18 for the 9.5"' wide

Won't 265's rub? If not i would get 265/40/18 tires on all four. What do you think? Will they rub or should i put 275 on all four? I have 16 irocs on my car with 255 and they rub like hell. I hate that sound more than anything. I want the biggest tires possible without any rubbing, and as it looks right now i am getting the 18 c5 on all four. thanks for the help.

My 10.5's had 295/35's on them.
I have a 98 LS1 rear on my car, equivelent to 2" spacers.

If you get the perfect spacer for the fronts, the 275 or the 265 won't rub.
A 40 series tire on an 18x9.5 will most likely rub pretty bad on teh front when turning.

I placed my C5 rear 18x9.5" with the 275/40/18 tire next to my 18x10.5" Z06 wheel with the 295/35/18 and the C5 wheel was almost an inch taller.

I wish i knew where to get 18x8.5 front wheel. then i'd put a 255/35 tire on it and i am pretty sure that wouldn't rub the front. I know i can go up to 285/40 in the rear with no issue.

That's right isn't it?

Not really, they are inset more. with my LS1 rear I had to run 7/16" slip on spacers to clear the front lower subframe on the rear of the car and hammer the inner fenderwell a bit.

So, I let someone drive my car and they dented my rims. I took my car to a shop to see what could be done and they told me not to look at it. That's when i decided to buy my rims. I bought 4 17x8.5 c5 and I'm waiting on the 2" spacers. I ordered 255/40/17 from cooper. They're isn't going to be any rub right?

Dude, those C5 rims fit in the wheelwell perfectly!

a) did you have the 4th gen rear under the car at the time?

b) what was the offset of the rear wheels?

Nope, all I know is that they were offset for a 4th gen Camaro. with my 98+LS1 rear end, they stuck out too much on my car. so I got rid of them, and tires were very expensive. I am going to to stick with 17's.
