Hey guys im looking to fit the widest wheel and tire on the rear that i can and wanted to see what you guys are running and what you had to do to make it work. Im gonna roll the lip and am willing to work work the well a bit but just as much as a hummer will let me. I wanna fit an 18 by 11 with a 305/35/18 but if i can bigger id rather do that. Any info on what your running and what you had to do to make it fit would be great thanks.

Check out my cardomain site. There a TON of pics on what I did. There is a lot to see. I am running 335s on a 17x11". They stick out a bit. But it all depends on what you like.

Here is a taste of what I am woking with. You can allways do sorta what I did but to a lesser extent and have less stick out. In the end I will most likely go over to 315s

Here is a funny pic I took one day workin on it all. I will also post one of it in the car.

And in the car

There are many many more on my site.

Later

The biggest street tire setup I have seen on this website was a 12" wide wheel with a 335 tire. I think they were 17" wheels but not sure. Try a search if you want more info.

I have seen a little info on this too (12" rims) But the pics sucked and the guy was impossible to get a hold of. They also seemed to be some kind of racing rim that would cost way more than my $510 shipped (for all 4) replica ZR-1s

Thanks for the replies. I've tried searching but get way too many posts. I think ill just play it safe and go with the 305 and the 11" wheel.

CrazyHawaiian, what width of rim were you running on those 19s and with what tire size. I orginally wanted to go 19s but i figure im gonna need the sidewall so im gonna stay with 18s.

In the rear I'm running a 18x9.5 and 275/35/18. Not huge by any means, but more of a good compromise considering how low the car sits. When I swap in my next motor I'm gonna consider a new set of wheels that will allow wider tires for the needed traction.

Re: biggest tire/ rear wheel combo

Dennis, Are the 335's on a 3rd or 4th gen rear? Also, what kinda footprint do you leave? Why do you want to go back to a 315?
