best front end bushings????

I took the entire front suspension system off of my 83 T/A and I am going to dissasemble the whole thing, sand blast the k-member and a-arms, and get some new parts such as bushings for the entire front end.what bushings are about the best??? I was thinking maybe Energy Suspensions.

For A-Arm bushings, that Global-West Del-A-Lums are very nice. They are on the spendy side though.

Polygraphite bushings which are greaseable. I believe one or two people on here sell greaseable ones, or you may be able to convert a standard set, but I don't know if this weakens them in any appreciable way.

Does the ride change much with the global west bushings. Ive heard there really good. I have stock replacement bushings up front and poly every where else. The car still rides great, thinking about swapping out the rubber in front.

if anything it will ride better. The allow the a-arm to move freely, they way it should be.

Another vote for Global West. I have them on my IROC as well as my 66 Chevelle. Quiet, smooth yet no flex.

Could be wrong but I believe the word your searching for is self-lubricating. Greaseable would assume they have a zerk fitting or something which my PST polygraphite bushings did not have.
Polygraphite is self lubricating making theoretically quiter than playurethane. The vote is still out on how long they last though.
My opinion is that properly greased urethane (ES bushings)will be just as quiet and are proven to last. Gloabal west is good for the control arms, people have had good results from the ES bushings as well. Moog makes good factory replacements if you don't want the rigidity of polyurethane.

Yeah you could be wrong, if fact I ordered a set of poly graphite sway bar bushings front and rear. Both sets had grease zerks fitted in the hardware and corresponding holes in the bushings. I love my polygrahite bushings.

Zerk fittings for the sway bar bushings? I'd have to see that to believe it. Those bushings are sandwiched between the bar and Ushaped clamp. Where would a fitting go. If you put it in the side I don't think you could get to it. Is the U-shaped clamp built in to the bushing? Did you get them from PST?

The one's I've seen are on the U-shaped part of the bushing.

Those look like nice bushings but they are $40. ES bushings are $13 shipped. Those will reduce noise but the sway bar doesn't tavel under load like the control arm bushings do. Your sway bar bushings wear slower than most others. Use a little grease on the ES ones, save your money and you'll never notice the difference on the street.

The bushings have a hole drilled in them and the U-shaped clamp also has a hole drilled in the bottom with a grease zerk fitted in the hole. Let me see if I can find a picture.

I grease them about every 2000 miles. I try not to put very much though. There is a link a the top of the page; TDS Top Down Solutions. Go there, a guy named Lon will help you out. Really nice guy and knows his stuff well. He also helped out with a hatch motor problem I had.

I have the Energy Suspension kit on my car and I love it... Ride quality is great.. stiffer than stock so a bit rough on the bumps, but the car corners far better than it ever did.
